[AGGIORNAMENTO] Il Magnifico Rettore ha finalmente mandato la comunicazione (molto confusa) e ha confermato tutto quello che pensavamo. Ha aggiunto solamente che provvederanno a fornire un rimborso parziale ai fuori sede (e probabilmente si affideranno all’ISEE 2021, che si riferisce al reddito pre-pandemia!). Senza mai ricevere una comunicazione ufficiale, ci è stato detto che gli esami al Politecnico di Milano verranno svolti in presenza. Gli studenti che non potranno venire in presenza dovranno presentare un’istanza a ogni singolo professore (come istanza andrà bene la mail? la leggeranno mai questa mail?). 

A tre settimane dall’inizio della sessione estiva, queste (non) comunicazioni sono molto gravi dato che gli studenti e i professori si sono organizzati per svolgere gli esami a distanza. Molti studenti infatti hanno disdetto gli affitti e molti non hanno neanche le disponibilità economiche/organizzative di venire a Milano. 

Mancano inoltre molte informazioni. Chi potrà fare l’istanza al professore? (Già c’è chi parla di certificato medico; se uno ha avuto un contatto con persona positiva Covid che dovrà fare?). I professori saranno obbligati a garantire le stesse modalità di esame a chi è a distanza e a chi è in presenza? Ci sarà equità tra chi ha fatto un esame in modalità a distanza nel primo semestre e ora? Gli scritti in presenza verranno fatti al PC per “sicurezza” in pandemia? Se sì, come si potrà fare un esame al PC quando in molte aule mancano le prese?

Noi siamo d’accordo con cercare di tornare alle condizioni pre-Covid, ma vogliamo che il Politecnico garantisca a tutti gli studenti le condizioni per poter svolgere gli esami in sicurezza e tranquillità. Quindi proponiamo di integrare nelle iscrizioni agli esami dei Servizi Online una scelta multipla che permetta allo studente di scegliere la modalità preferita di svolgimento dell’esame e che rimanga la possibilità di scegliere fino a poche ore prima della scelta dell’esame.
Inoltre vogliamo pari opportunità negli esami a distanza e in presenza! ✊✊

[ENGLISH] [UPDATE] The Rector of Politecnino di Milano has confirmed all the informations that we had. He has only added the possibility to give a partial refund for the student who have to come and stay for few days in Milan. This is not acceptable for us! #EsamiOnlinePolimi

On behalf of all the students of every course who sign this petition:

We never received an official communication and we have been told that at Politecnico di Milano the exams will be only carried out in presence. The students who cannot be in presence will have to send an official communication to every single professor (will be the email enough?). The international students will have to send a single email to the Dean of the school, which is already enough!

These (non) communications only three weeks before the exam session are extremely nonacceptable by the students and the professors that were organized to do the exams in distance. Many students have cancelled out their rents and many others do not have the possibility to come to Milan due to economical and organizational reasons.

There are also many informations missing. What are the reasons which will make the professors decide if a student can do the exam from home? (There are some professors who are talking about certifications signed by a doctor; if a student has a contact with a person which is Covid-positive, what has he/she to do?). Are the professors going to give the same opportunities to the students at home as the students in class and vice versa? Is there going to be equivalence for the exams done in the first semester?

We agree to try to go back to the normal life pre-Covid, but we want that Politecnico gives the opportunity to give all exams in safety and tranquillity. So, we propose to give the choice between exam in presence or distance directly on the online services of the Politecnico website and that this choice can be changed till few hours before the exam. Also, we want that the exams in presence and in distance are equal in difficulty and modality! ✊✊
